HOW WE SHOW UP FOR EACH OTHER

Our community

guidelines.

This is a group of senior leaders coming together to support one another as we build independent careers. What makes it work is trust: the freedom to ask any question, share the real numbers, and admit when something is hard. These guidelines exist so that everyone here feels comfortable doing exactly that.

01

We give as much as we get.

This is a community of reciprocity. Others will show up for you, and we ask that you show up for them. Answer a question, make an introduction, share the template or the lesson you learned the hard way. It's fine to listen while you find your footing, but the community is only as strong as what each of us puts in.

03

Kindness and respect come first.

We're all at different stages and come from different functions and backgrounds. Assume good intent, disagree with ideas rather than people, and treat every member the way you'd want to be treated on your hardest day. Harassment, discrimination, or demeaning comments aren't tolerated, here or in DMs.

05

Curiosity is queen.

Ask before you advise. Take the time to understand where someone is coming from, what they've tried, and what they actually need. The best help here starts with a good question. And remember, advice here comes from peers, not legal, tax, or financial professionals, so use your own judgment.

Our principles

WHAT WE STAND FOR

02

What's shared here, stays here.

We follow the spirit of the Chatham House Rule. Take the insights and ideas with you, but leave names, stories, and identifying details here unless you have the person's permission to share them elsewhere. Please don't screenshot posts or record calls without permission, and always respect the confidentiality of your clients and employers.

04

Keep it about the work.

This isn't the place for political or religious debate or advocacy. When those topics touch your business, like a policy change affecting your clients, it's fine to discuss the business impact. Leave the commentary for other spaces.

06

Help, don't sell.

We all have businesses, and we want to help each other grow them. Share your LinkedIn posts, new offerings, webinars, and what you're building in the Promote space, which is there for exactly that.

What we ask you not to do:

  • Recruit members into other communities, groups, or masterminds.

  • Use the community, DMs, or the member directory to sell to members.

  • Share information or advice as a way to set up a sale.

Mentioning another community you're part of when it's relevant or someone asks is always fine.

Together

By joining this community, you agree to these guidelines, to act in their spirit, and to follow all applicable laws and regulations. Serious violations, like harassment or discrimination, may lead to immediate removal.
